Payment for Services
The Family Medicine Center has a "sliding fee" program. Patients are given the opportunity to discuss their financial situation privately with a Financial Counselor. No patient is denied service due to inability to pay.
The Family Medicine Center participates in the following programs:
- State and PCP Medicaid
- One Health Plan PPO, Pacificare, Secure Horizons and other insurance plans.
If you have insurance, please call your insurance company to make sure they cover your visit to Bruner Family Medicine Clinic.
Your Health Care Team
On your first visit, you will be assigned to a resident physician or physician assistant who will be primarily responsible for your medical care. They will continue as your primary health care provider. Every effort is made to schedule your appointments with your regular resident physician, but sometimes you may be seen by a different physician or by a physician assistant.
When you call the clinic to speak with your physician, the receptionist will take your name and phone number and relay the message. A physician will return your call as soon as possible. A physician is on call for emergency consultations 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 303-318-2000
Resident - A Resident is a physician-in-training. They have completed medical school and are completing their requirements for board certification.
Attending Physician - The Attending Physician is the physician who supervises the Residents.
Physician Assistant - A Physician Assistant is a health care professional licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision.
Primary Care Provider - Your Primary Care Provider is the person mainly responsible for your medical care. They may be a Resident or a Physician Assistant. They will work with you to determine your plan of care.
If you need after hours care, please check with your physician before going to the emergency room. If hospitalization is required, your physician will be a part of your health care team at Saint Joseph Hospital.
