The Caritas Clinic is located four blocks west of Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital on the fourth floor of the Midtown Medical Office Building. Parking is available across the street on Ogden Street, or in the parking garage attached to the building.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Caritas Clinic is a resident run clinic that strives to deliver the highest quality of care to our patients. We provide acute illness intervention and chronic disease management, as well as prevention-based counseling and screening. All residents are supervised by an attending physician.
Medical Services include:
Internal Medicine Clinic - Residents supervised by attending physicians promote preventative care along with treating a broad spectrum of adult illnesses to include heart, lung and gastrointestinal diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, arthritis and others.
General Surgery Clinic - Surgical consultations, pre and post-operative care for minor and major surgical procedures are provided in the clinic. Resident surgeons and attending surgeons provide care at each clinic visit. Surgeries or procedures are performed on an outpatient or inpatient basis at Exempla Saint Jostph Hospital.
All necessary hospitalizations are coordinated at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital, a not-for-profit institution known for providing low cost and high quality healthcare.
Payment for Services
The Caritas Clinic provides a "sliding fee schedule" payment agreement. Patients are given the opportunity to discuss their financial situation privately with a financail counselor who determines their fees according to Federal poverty guidelines. No patient is denied service due to the inability to pay.
The clinic participates in Colorado Access, the State of Colorado Medicaid Program. We are unable to service patients with Denver Health Medicaid. It is necessary to present your current Medicaid card to the receptionist when checking in.
The Caritas Clinic also participates in the Medicare Program. We accept Medicare assignment for all charges that are covered by Medicare.
The clinic also participates with Secure Horizons, as well as other Medicare Advantage insurance plans. Please call your insurance company to inquire about benefits and providers.
Your Healthcare Team
On your first visit you will be assigned to a resident physician who will be your Primary Care Provider. All resident physicians are supervised by an attending. The PCP assigned or their team member will provide your care. Every effort is made to schedule your appoinments with your PCP or his/her team member. Due to high demad for services, there are times when you may be seen by a different resident physician or by a nurse practitioner.
If you need to call the clinic, please follow the phone menu prompts to be sure that your call is handled promptly. If you need to speak with a provider, your call will be directed to a nurse practitioner who will return your call as soon as possible.
A resident physician is on-call for your assistance after hours and on weekends for both internal medicine and general surgery. Please call at 303-318-1540 and the answering service will direct your call to the resident on duty. In case of a life-threateneing emergency, please call 911.
